What promoters and artists ask us most.
Do I need a UAE work visa to book through ROSTR+?
Visas remain the promoter's responsibility, same as any booking. ROSTR+ doesn't process visa paperwork, but the contract we generate captures who's responsible for which immigration step (entry permit, employment visa, exit). Most GCC promoters use a NOC + visit-visa pattern for single-event bookings; the contract template has fields for both, so the agreement is explicit before the artist boards a plane.
How do payouts work? Can artists receive AED directly?
Yes. Promoters record payments on the platform (bank transfer reference, Stripe, or Tap). Artists confirm receipt with one tap. AED is the default; we also support USD and EUR for international artists. Payouts route directly between promoter and artist. ROSTR+ holds no funds. Every transaction has an invoice number, audit trail, and timestamp so VAT filings and dispute evidence are one click away.
What happens if an event gets cancelled?
The contract you generate captures the cancellation policy at signing: typically 50% deposit non-refundable at >14 days, 100% inside 7 days. Both sides agree before signing. If a dispute arises, the full audit log (every message, status change, signature, payment record) is exportable as a single PDF for arbitration. We've kept the structure aligned with UAE Commercial Transactions Law so it holds up locally.
How does ROSTR+ verify artists?
Three checks before a "Verified" badge appears: a working email or phone number, a real social presence (Instagram / SoundCloud / Spotify), and at least one cross-reference from a promoter or venue we already know. We don't verify performance quality (promoters decide that), but we do verify the human exists. Founding-50 artists go through the same checks.
Is ROSTR+ free? When does pricing change?
Free during launch on both sides. No card required to start. When pricing turns on, we take 5–10% only from the promoter side, only after their third paid booking, and never from the artist. Founding-50 artists keep their badge and zero-commission rate forever. See the pricing section above for the structure.
What happens to my data? Is it private?
Data lives on Supabase (EU-West-1 region) with row-level security on every table. Promoters see only their own bookings; artists see only theirs. Public profiles (name, bio, genre, rate band) are visible in the directory; private fields (email, phone) only surface to confirmed booking partners. Full details in our privacy policy, which is compliant with UAE PDPL.
